About the name
Masr is how Egyptians say Egypt, and the word is understood across the Arab world. .vc is the country extension of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and it has been widely adopted by venture capital firms. Masr.vc combines the two into a short name that says "Egypt, venture capital".
The name fits Egypt-focused venture funds, accelerators and angel networks, international investors setting up an Egypt vehicle, and media or data platforms that cover the Egyptian startup scene. It is four letters plus an extension, easy to say in Arabic and in English.
