About the name
A cold plate is a metal plate with internal channels that sits directly on a processor. Liquid flows through it and carries heat away, the approach known as direct-to-chip cooling. AI servers concentrate much more heat in each rack than traditional servers, so cold plates have become a key part of modern AI data centers.
ColdPlateAI.com puts that technology and its main market in one name. It fits cold-plate manufacturers, liquid-cooling start-ups, server makers and integrators, and engineering firms that design cooling for high-density racks. The words are the ones engineers and buyers already use.
Three ways to use it
- The brand of a cold-plate manufacturer focused on AI accelerators.
- A product line of liquid-cooled server kits for GPU racks.
- An engineering consultancy that designs direct-to-chip cooling for data centers.
